About Us

Company Overview

MICROTROL commenced operations initially from Mumbai in 1983 as an Ethylene oxide sterilisation services provider to the medical disposables industry. Since then, the company diversified the portfolio of its services to several other industries.

To ensure the quality of the gas mixtures and timely supplies, MICROTROL established an EtO formulation and bottling facility in 2001 near Mumbai. This facility supplies various combinations of Ethylene oxide with inert gases such as Carbon dioxide and Nitrogen in different sized cylinders.

MICROTROL’s first Gamma Radiation Services (GRS) facility was commissioned in Bengaluru in 2006 followed by a second facility in Bawal, Haryana commissioned in 2020.

MICROTROL established its first Natural Pasteurisation processing facility in Kochi in 2013 soon followed by similar facilities in Bengaluru and Sidhpur, Gujrat.

Today, the company offers world class services in the area of sterilisation and bio burden reduction (microbial decontamination) through its pan-India presence.

Certifications

EtO

MICROTROL’s EtO facilities at Bawal, Bengaluru, Edayar, Gurugram, Rajapalayam, Tuticorin and Vasai are certified by renowned European bodies (BSI Management systems) for ISO 9001 & ISO 13485 Quality Management Systems requirements.

They have certified the above facilities for the following activities:

  • Provision of Ethylene oxide sterilisation / bio burden reduction treatment for various commodities and provision of Ethylene oxide sterilisation for Medical Devices in accordance with ISO 11135.
  • MICROTROL’s  EtO Facilities at Bengaluru, Edayar, Guntur, Kolenchery, Mahape, Sidhpur, Tuticorin, are FSSC 22000 Certified.
  • MICROTROL’s Gurugram facility has obtained a Certificate for GMP compliance from the MHRA (Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency, London).
  • MICROTROL’s Bengaluru EtO Facility has been Classified by U.S. FDA as ‘Acceptable’ in compliance with cGMP.
  • Apart from International Certification, MICROTROL has also obtained local FDA (Food & Drug Administration) / DC (Drug Controller) approval to process medical devices, at Bengaluru, Edayar, Gurugram, Rajapalayam, and Vasai.

GAMMA RADIATION

MICROTROL’s  Bengaluru gamma radiation facility is certified by BSI Management Systems for ISO 9001 & ISO 13485 Quality Management Systems with compliance to ISO 11137, ISO 14001 Environment Management Systems.

This facility is also approved by the DC for sterilisation of medical devices.

MICROTROL’s Gamma Radiation facility has the following International approvals:

  • European Commission to irradiate foods and food ingredients destined for European countries
  • Assigned a ‘Compliant (C)’ by Health Canada in accordance to the Food and Drugs  Regulations, Canada
  • ‘Acceptable’ in cGMP by the U.S. FDA
  • The AERB (Atomic Energy Regulatory Board), Government of India, has certified the facility for sterilisation of medical products and spices.
  • The DAE (Department of Atomic Energy), Government of India, has also licensed the facility to irradiate food products.
  • MICROTROL’s Bawal gamma radiation facility is certified by BSI Management Systems for ISO 9001 & ISO 13485 Quality Management Systems with compliance to ISO 11137.
  • The AERB (Atomic Energy Regulatory Board), Government of India, has certified our Bawal facility as well for sterilisation of medical products and spices.
  • The DAE (Department of Atomic Energy), Government of India, has also licensed this facility to irradiate food products.
  • Most of MICROTROL’s EtO and Gamma radiation facilities have obtained FSSAI licences for processing spices.

Our ETO formulation plant has been certified by AQC Middle East FZE for ISO 9001 & ISO 14001.
